Mission Statement:

The mission of “Beautiful Lives” is to bring awareness and education to the people of Connecticut about the truth of Eating Disorders, while bringing together a community of those who have experienced an eating disorder (whether directly or through a family member or friend) and celebrating life and recovery.  We celebrate life with other survivors and encourage those suffering to recognize that it is worth the fight.

It is a beautiful life and we are worth it.

S
10 million women and 1
Million men suffer from Anorexia
And Bulimia.  Anorexia has the
Highest mortality rate of any
Mental illness.  Nearly half
Of all Americans know someone
With an eating disorder.
Do you?

Beautiful Lives is a program that works to raise awareness about Eating Disorders through education and prevention programs.  We realize how many people are affected by this disease, whether personally, or through a family member or friend, and how important it is to let people know that they are not alone and that there is hope.

Nicole Roberge is a Survivor of Anorexia and knows how important it is to have support and learn about Eating Disorders, because it is a disease, not a choice.  Now, by raising awareness and educating others, the hope is to prevent this disease and help those who might be suffering.

Through Beautiful Lives, the following programs are available:

School/Group Program Presentations:  Beautiful Lives can come to your school or group program and give a presentation to educate them about eating disorders and the damage they can do to one’s body and mind, while also sharing our stories and doing various activities.

Mentor Program: The mentorship program is designed to pair up someone who is early in their recovery from an eating disorder, or still struggling, with someone who is further along.  This way, they have someone to help guide them and support them through familiar territory.

Health Fair Booth:  Beautiful Lives would be happy to be a part of any high school, college or company Health and Wellness Fair.  We do a have a booth designed to provide people with materials and education about eating disorders.
Remember…
Recovery is possibly.
You deserve a healthy and happy life.
You’re not alone.
An eating disorder is not worth it, but you are.
You have a Beautiful Life—it’s time to embrace it.
